Privacy Policy

Dockline ("the App") is a Shopify app made by Brivano Labs ("we", "us"). It connects a Shopify store (the "Merchant") to the Merchant's retail partners on Rithum (DSCO): it brings the retailers' dropship orders into Shopify and sends acknowledgments, shipments, invoices and inventory levels back to the retailer. This policy explains what data the App handles when a Merchant installs it, why, and for how long.
Data we collect
About the Merchant
- Store details from Shopify: shop domain, store name, store owner email, plan/billing status.
- Access tokens Shopify gives the App, so it can act on the store.
- Rithum (DSCO) API credentials the Merchant enters (client ID and secret).
- Settings chosen in the App (warehouse code, inventory buffer, sync frequency, alert email).
About products and inventory
- Product titles, SKUs and available quantities, read from Shopify to check stock and send inventory to retailers.
About retailer orders and their end customers
- Orders the retailer sends through Rithum: purchase order number, items, quantities, costs, ship method, and the end customer's ship-to name, address and phone number, plus gift or packing messages if the retailer includes them.
- Shipment details (carrier, tracking number, shipped items) from fulfillments the Merchant creates in Shopify for those orders.
The App does not store the Merchant's own web-store customers or orders. Shopify notifies the App of every fulfillment; fulfillments that do not belong to a retailer order are ignored and not kept. The App does not use cookies for tracking and does not run analytics or advertising.
How we use it
- To create retailer orders in the Merchant's Shopify store so they can be fulfilled.
- To send acknowledgments, line cancellations, shipments, invoices and inventory to the retailer through Rithum.
- To print packing slips for retailer orders.
- To alert the Merchant (in the App, and by email if set up) when something needs attention.
- To bill the App's subscription through Shopify Billing.
- To give support when the Merchant asks for it.
We use end-customer data only to fulfill that customer's order. We do not sell, rent or share personal data for marketing, and we do not use it to profile anyone.
Who we share it with
- Shopify – orders are created in, and read from, the Merchant's store.
- Rithum (DSCO) – order updates, shipments, invoices and inventory go back to the retailer that sent the order, using the Merchant's own Rithum account.
- Render (Render Services, Inc.) – hosts the App's servers and database in the United States.
- An email delivery provider, only to send the Merchant's alert emails.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Shopify access tokens and Rithum credentials are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). Shopify webhooks are verified with HMAC signatures. Access to the servers is limited to authorized staff, and every read of order data is logged. Details, including how we handle security incidents, are on our Security page; the data processing terms are in our Terms of Service.
How long we keep it
- End-customer name, address, phone and messages are removed automatically 90 days after a retailer order is shipped or cancelled. Order numbers, items and shipment records stay so the Merchant keeps a history.
- When the Merchant uninstalls the App, its Shopify access is removed right away. Shopify asks us to erase the store's data 48 hours later, and we then delete everything about the store, including Rithum credentials and order history.
- When Shopify forwards a customer's erasure request, we remove that customer's details from the related orders.
Your rights
End customers' orders are placed with the retailer, and the Merchant decides how they are fulfilled. If you are an end customer, contact the retailer you bought from or the Merchant; we act on requests that reach us through Shopify and answer data requests within 30 days. Merchants (and anyone in the EU/UK, California or elsewhere with privacy rights) can ask us for access, correction or deletion of their data at hello@brivanolabs.com.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above, and tell Merchants in the App if the change is significant.
